As we bid farewell to 2023, we reflect on the hard work of the Tor Project's teams and their many noteworthy achievements to improve Tor and its experience for millions of users all around the world. Thank you to our community of users, volunteers, relay operators, partners, and donors for making these projects possible through their generous contributions.
Amnesty International is launching their website as a .onion site to provide unrestricted access to its human rights resources, enabling more people to safely and securely engage with the vital work of speaking truth to power, and defending human rights.
We realized Onion Services were not used to their fullest extent, so we launched support initiatives and resources to provide education, information and increase adoption.
We have conducted an assessment of our strategy to make Tor services more broadly available in the Global South to better understand our progress and potential for improvement.
Today, the Tor Project is holding our second annual State of the Onion, an event where Tor teams and the larger Tor community come together to share what we've accomplished this year, and what we're looking forward to in 2022.
