March 6, 2026 – March 7, 2026
Parallel Society (Lisbon)
A two-day festival of sound, art, and ideas exploring independent culture and creative autonomy. Day 1 is an unconference to advance civic technology. Day 2 celebrates music, arts, and countercultures. Expect a high-energy convergence of hacktivism, practical tech, and parallel-society building. Make, break, prototype, and world-build with the people shaping what comes next.
Pawel Zoneff, Director, Strategic Comms, the Tor Project will host a workshop on Press Freedom, Privacy & Digital Rights. The session is designed to open a collaborative dialogue between media professionals and open-source technologists. Participants will share insights from their lived experience of newsrooms, explore barriers to adoption, and discuss how these challenges inform future tool design and usability improvements. The session also investigates how media, platforms, and FOSS communities can work together to address the growing narrative war. This session is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of technical background.
